NoCo Manufacturing Partnership Members,
Welcome to the October e-newsletter. The partnership continues to work diligently to support manufacturing across the region. Fall is upon us and we are in full swing. There are many events and programs coming up this season. Arrangements have been made for our student tours and programming in the areas of workforce, workforce culture, and technology/innovation. You can find more information on these topics on the website at www.nocomfg.com. October is full of many other events including Manufacturing Day, job fairs, recruitment opportunities, lunch and learns, and manufacturing tours. Please consult this newsletter for all event dates and times.

Celebrate Manufacturing Day October 6th!
Manufacturing Day is a celebration of modern manufacturing meant to inspire the next generation of manufacturing. Each Mfg Rocks! High School Tour is being registered as a Manufacturing Day Event this year and NoCo Mfg invites all of the Partners to consider participating in and/or leading some kind of manufacturing event. The official day is October 6th this year, but events are happening weeks before and after 10/6.Any day can be Manufacturing Day and you can help spread the word about the exciting things happening in Colorado manufacturing.

Denver Maker Faire October 13-15th – Volunteer Opportunities
Calling all fans of invention, creation, DIY and imagination!! Volunteers are needed for the upcoming Denver Maker Faire. The Faire will be held at the Denver Mart on October 14th and 15th. Volunteers with help with operational tasks, Maker happiness and support, interactive exhibits and more! Click HERE to sign up.
Nordson Medical’s CareerWise Aprenticeships
More than a year of systems innovation, business recruitment, student recruitment, training plan development, and fundraising all paid off this summer when the inaugural CareerWise Colorado apprentice class of 116 students reported to work at their employers. That’s right, the nation’s first statewide modern youth apprenticeship initiative is officially underway in Colorado! Learn more HERE about the Nordson Medical Apprenticeship. City of Ft. Collins Wins International Economic Development Award
Congratulations to the City of Ft. Collins for receiving the Bronze Excellence in Economic Development Award on the unique ways they leverage City funds to support talent in the community. The City of Fort Collins is a contributing partner in the NoCO Manufacturing Partnership which enables the partnership to make an impact on the local manufacturing industry . City cluster grants have helped support more than 1,000 high school student tours to manufacturing facilities to increase student awareness of manufacturing careers. This committee continues to be incredibly busy working to promote manufacturing as a career for students and to encourage dialogue between education and industry to align their training and workforce needs.
