NoCo Manufacturing Partnership Members,
Welcome to the November e-newsletter. The partnership continues to work diligently to support manufacturing across the region. The rescheduled Cybersecurity event is December 12th and the registration link is included below. Thank you to all the manufacturers that participated in MFG 2017. The 2018 board nominations will be begin in November, please be thinking about who you might be a great addition to the board. Announcements
Celebrated Manufacturing Day October 6th!
The partnership celebrated Manufacturing Day by hosting student tours for St. Vrain Valley and Poudre School Districts. A total of 120 middle and high school students toured manufacturers in the area. A big thank you to Advanced Energy, Custom Microwave, FRCC, LCWC, Longmont Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Partnership, Manes Machine & Engineering Company, Nordson Medical, Inc., Precision Machined Products, and Zometool who participated in making an impact on the future workforce. Thompson Valley School District had their tours October 13th and we look forward to Boulder Valley and Greeley School districts participating in November. Expansion of Career Awareness & Exploration Award
The CWDC has awarded the NoCo Manufacturing Sector Partnership Rocks! Committee with a sector partnership award for the Expansion of Career Awareness & Exploration. It was presented at the 2017 TalentFound Sector Summit. A total of four awards were given to partnerships across the state who have committed to industry-led work-based learning. Congratulations to the Rocks Committee for receiving this award!

Board Nominations for 2018
A call for board nominations will be sent on Wednesday, November 1st by email. There are 3 manufacturer members , 1 education and 1 workforce development member coming vacant. Each member serves a two-year term. Prior to the election, all nominees will be contracted to make sure they are willing to serve. Please consider nominating someone that would be an engaged member of the board.

Poudre School District Tech Ed – Textbook Adoption Team
The Tech Ed Dept for Poudre School District is looking for assistance in their textbook adoption process. This is an opportunity for manufacturer(s) to make a lasting impact to our student and future workforce by helping the educators select teaching materials that will direct curriculum.
