Insite Tour – Nite Ize in Boulder
Nite Ize began in 1989 when founder, and now CEO, Rick Case created a universal headband designed to hold a flashlight hands-free. Over the past 30 years, Nite Ize has grown from a cabin-based startup to distributing 500+ products worldwide. Nite Ize designs and manufactures inventor-driven products that organize your life, protect your gear, light your way, and creatively solve your everyday problems.
Come see Nite Ize’s new 160,000-square-foot warehouse, their new global distribution headquarters. Nite Ize moved into their new facility in 2018 while simultaneously transitioning to a new cloud-based Oracle ERP system. The additional square and cubic footage of the new facility will accommodate new growth with additional storage space for increasing inventory needs and impressive high-volume order processing equipment.
The move enabled Nite Ize to consolidate and improve the efficiency of their operations with the help of features like 28-foot clear heights. The building also offers a front park/rear load design with 16 docks, two drive-in doors, a newly installed ESFR fire suppression system and trailer parking. They use Packsize equipment, a fully automated, in-line, on-demand packaging system that handles boxes with dimensions from inches to feet. They also have a three-tiered picking system that streamlines order fulfillment. Nite Ize has a continuous improvement culture and program and is currently growing those efforts.
No cost to attend, but registration required. Please note due to limited ticketing, manufacturers will receive priority.
