Come visit the new Center for Integrated Manufacturing that Front Range Community College is opening in Longmont in August 2019. This new facility won’t just help our students get good jobs—it will help local companies, like yours, thrive. When the CIM opens in August, instructors will train students using industrial training systems and machinery to give them the hands-on learning that advanced manufacturing positions require.

FRCC’s new Center for Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) houses the college’s four programs in advanced manufacturing:

·         Automation & Engineering Technology (AET)

·         Electronics Engineering Technology (EET)

·         Optics Technology

·         Precision Machining

Within these programs, FRCC will offer traditional college degrees and certificates, fast-track noncredit workforce training, and customized training at customer sites.

Approximately 27,000 square feet of space houses classrooms and offices, as well as specialized lab and shop space. This innovative facility enables FRCC to offer effective industry focused education and hands-on training for future manufacturing workers—as well as incumbent workers looking to increase their skills and expertise. Instructors prepare students using simulated manufacturing environments, including real-world production equipment and skill-based industrial training systems for each program. Students coming out of these programs are able to hit the ground running in a variety of advanced manufacturing jobs, including CNC machinist, and optics, electronics, industrial maintenance, and robotics technicians.
